Description
During the 1912 presidential election, Theodore Roosevelt and his supporters created the Progressive Party, also known as the Bull Moose party. In that party ticket he ran against President William Howard Taft. At one point in the election, Roosevelt showed his usual determination and confidence when he was shot in the chest by a would-be assassin but went on to make a long speech anyway.
This bandanna is a replica of one created during that election for TR’s campaign. The border shows a repeating illustration of Roosevelt’s head decked out with a cowboy hat and red bandanna, showing his fiery energy, drive, and determination in spite of obstacles.
