Description
Named after the New French colony that existed in the region, Acadia National Park is the oldest national park east of the Mississippi River. The park itself includes over 70 square miles of beautiful shorelines, woodlands, mountains, and a huge variety of flora and fauna.
Acadia National Park celebrates its centennial in 2016. For 100 years, The National Park Service has been preserving and protecting this magnificent section of land near the coast of Maine.
