This B17F Flying Fortress was named after pilot Robert K Morgan’s sweetheart, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee. It was the first American heavy bomber to complete 25 missions over Europe, after which both aircraft and crew were returned safely to the United States for a War Bond Tour.
