Bamboo Ridge Press, the oldest independent literary small press in Hawaii, continues to showcase local literature with the 40th anniversary issue of the literary journal, Bamboo Ridge (#113). Guest-edited by Gail N. Harada and Lisa Linn Kanae, the book features cover and interior art by Noe Tanigawa, with an insightful interview included with the artist’s portfolio.

This milestone anthology contains poetry and prose by fifty diverse writers, from emerging authors new to the pages of Bamboo Ridge to local literary luminaries, including the following, all winners of the Elliot Cades Award for Literature: Donald Carriera Ching, Marie Hara, Juliet S. Kono, Brenda Kwon, Darrell H.Y. Lum, Wing Tek Lum, Christy Passion, Craig Santos Perez, Eric Paul Shaffer, Cathy Song, and Joseph Stanton.
