Description

The Grand Sable Banks rise some 300 feet above Lake Superior. On top of the banks lie the Grand Sable Dunes. The story of their origin dates back to the last ice age. Over the centuries, the northwest winds have piled the sand on top of the banks, creating an incredible sandscape.
