Aerie Waters has lived in Hawaii for forty-five years. She has a master’s degree in English and taught high school in Harlem and the lower East Bronx, as well as creating a home school on Maui. She is the author of three books of poetry.
Dechen (Mary) Goode moved to Maui in 1976. She was a massage therapist for seventeen years and was the founder of Spring Renewal, a spiritual retreat held on Maui for thirty-six years.
