The Reed’s Candy Company was a Chicago-based confectionery founded in 1893 by William and Eugene Reed and their father, known for its butterscotch hard candies and, later, hard candy rolls. It became the largest butterscotch manufacturer by 1921 but faced various changes in ownership and production through the late 20th century. Though it went out of production in the early 2000s, the brand and its flavors were revived by Iconic Candy in the 2010s
